Customer Profiles....

Something that helps to really helps to build a relationship with your customer can be as easy as starting and maintaining a customer profile. Always reassure your customer that information shared will go no farther than yourself.

Everyone should have at least the very basic profile information of:
Name
Address
Phone #
email:
Preferred way to be contacted: Email Phone
Preferred day & time to call:

By having this information you will be able to better communicate with your customers. You will know when and how they prefer to be contacted. Thus eliminating your procrastinating on calling them because your not sure if it's too late or too early or what day they are available for a phone call. It also allows for you to email them when and if the cause arrives.

Another nice thing about your basic customer profile is that you can take and use it for drawings. You might add to it a bit by adding recruiting information for growing your team. Simply put a yes, no, maybe line asking if they would like more information about doing what you do.

If you have a plan of action for your business that involves birthdays and/or anniversaries. Add a spot for recording them on your contact file. Make it clear why your doing so. Ex. Ms. ___. Every month I put a special drawing together of my customer's names who have a birthday in the month for a ___ special (10% off an order of certain size, free gift, some perk that isn't offered to regular customers during the month). Let them know that they don't have to participate if they don't want to. That the year isn't necessary just the month and day.

Remember to send a birthday or anniversary greeting to everyone who opts into your club whether they win the prize or not.

Another part of your customer profile should be company specific. What does your company offer that is noteworthy? Is it a scent, a product line, a favorite flavor? Is it for specific needs? Are there allergies to be concerned about?

By tailoring to your company and customer preferences what notes you keep, you can grow your sales. If you know that something is coming up on sale or is being discontinued you can alert your customer. If you know a particular product that the customer likes or a scent that they like you can create a special just for that customer appreciation gift or sale. If you learn that your customer is allergic to something ex. wheat, eggs, strawberries, latex, SPF or some other ingredient in your product line then you can politely discourage them from purchasing something that would be dissatisfying to them therefore reducing your likelihood of losing sales in in the future, having disgruntle customer, or being hit with expensive returns.

Also when your customer orders if you make a notation that they ordered x on ___ date and it's a highly consumable product like a body lotion, face cream, makeup, tea light candle, type of beverage or food product, etc. You could then at some point in the future send them a post card or email to inquire about a reorder.

The time frame as to when to contact them will depend on the item they ordered. A bath product that should last 8 weeks might mean that you would contact them at 6 weeks with a reorder reminder. That way the new item gets to them just as the old one is running out. After awhile you will see a pattern and will know when and who to contact in regards to your product line and seasonal products. Every April we begin reminding people about Sunscreen and Bug protection from mosquitoes. Then come May the customers are ready with their orders for these products.

1 c tapioca flour
½ c potato starch

2 tsp salt
1 T GF baking powder
3 T sugar
3 eggs *
1¼ c Vance's Dairy Free**
3 T oil
¼ tsp GF vanilla

Mix like normal pancake batter. Lumps are ok as long as not big. Cook on griddle until light brown and bubbles form. Turn over cook other side til brown around edge.

Variation: for chocolate pancakes use Vance's Dairy Free Chocolate.

**or use other milk substitute

This is a recipe that is good with syrup, jam, peanut butter, powder sugar, or however, you like your pancakes. The pancakes also work well for wrap style sandwiches.

Chocolate Chippers

½ cup butter or margarine
¼ cup brown sugar
1 egg
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon GF vanilla

Cream together until fluffy

2/3 cup GF oat flour
1 Tablespoon potato starch flour
½ cup bean flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

Stir together in another bowl.
Blend into creamed mixture until well mixed.

Stir in:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet, about 2" apart. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. Remove immediately. Cool. Make about 2½ dozen.

Gluten Free Rice-Oat Bread

Here's an exciting recipe. Exciting because it's NEW and the sample at a funeral meal wasn't bad. It didn't taste like cardboard. Since I was given the recipe, I thought I would share with others.

Rice-Oat Bread
Combine in bowl of a heavy duty mixer:

3 large Eggs
¼ cup Sunflower/Soybean oil
1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
10 ½ cups Very Warm Water

In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients. (Remember flours kept in refrigerator should be mixed first; microwave for 20 -30 seconds to warm... then add other ingredients)

1 cup Rice Flour
1 cup PrOating Flour
½ cup Tapioca Flour
½ cup Potato Starch Flour
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Xanthan Gum
1 ½ teaspoons Salt
2 Tablespoons Egg Replacer (or an extra egg white)
2 packages Active Dry Yeast
½ cup dry milk powder*

Add about half of the flour mixture to the liquids, beat on low speed to mix. Gradually add rest to flour mixture and then beat on high speed for a full 3 minutes.

Batter will be like very thick cake batter. Spoon into well greased loaf pans. Let rise in warm place until double, about 40-60 minutes. Bake at 350° about 23 minutes for large loaves or 18 minutes for mini loaves. Turn onto rack to cool.

Makes 2 regular sized loaves or 5-6 mini loaves.

*or lactose-free baby formula instead of dry milk powder. or potato milk can also be used to make this a dairy free recipe.

As for heavy duty mixer... Denise recommends that we use a Bosch universal mixer for this. Although a heavy duty kitchen aide might work. Denise also says that a GF oat flour can be used in place of PrOating although PrOating is what she used.

Thanks to Denise for sharing the recipe. Thanks to Eloise for creating it in the first place as that is where Denise got the recipe from.

Updates to C Turtlez Oddz n Endz

Summer is here and C Turtlez Oddz n Endz has a new look.

Several new places have been added. Many pages have had their listings refreshed. All in all there is lots of wonderful shopping opportunities available. The web store is still unavailable at this time. There are several exciting offerings in the wings. The hold up presently is getting product photos ready for posting.

A much more appropriate look considering the name is an easy observation to make. If definitely makes me think not only Summer but of Easy Breezy shopping that I enjoy at this time of year. Also, the joy that new toys from said shopping bring to both the young and old alike.
