¾ cup vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
¼ cup water
1 cup raisins
1 t vanilla
3 cups oats, uncooked
1 cup all purpose flour
1 t salt (optional)
½ t baking soda
Mix ingredients well. Bake at 350° on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
