Almond Pudding

1 T gelatin
¼ c cold water
½ c hot water
½ c sugar, caramelized
1 c hot milk
1 c cream, whipped
½ c toasted slivered almonds
½ t vanilla

Soak gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.  Dissolve in hot water. Mix caramelized sugar and hot milk. Add to gelatin mixture and chill until partially set. Beat until frothy. Fold in whipped cream, almonds, and vanilla. Chill. 

Serves 6
