1 can Eagle Brand
Sweetened condensed milk
2 cups firmly
packed light brown sugar
½ cup light corn
syrup
½ cup butter
1/8 t salt
In a heavy
saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, sugar, corn syrup. Cook
over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture begins to boil.
Reduce heat to low. Cook; stir constantly to 236°F on candy
thermometer or until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a
soft ball. Remove from heat; stir in butter or margarine and salt.
Pour into lightly buttered 8” square pan. Cool Cut into squares.
Makes 1½ pounds
